This variation of my fun solar system necklace design features assorted gemstone beads, along with sterling silver spacers, bails and bead caps. The pendant is hand-stamped aluminum. The "punk not perfect" DIY aesthetic is intentional.
Here are the stones used to represent each of the celestial bodies:
Sun: citrine
Mercury: matte hemalyke
Venus: picture jasper
Earth: chrysocolla
Moon: faceted moonstone
Mars: carnelian
Asteroids: faceted hemalyke
Jupiter: banded red agate
Saturn: golden tiger's eye
Uranus: amazonite
Neptune: lapis lazuli
Pluto: crazy lace agate
Like everything I make, this piece is made with love and infused with Reiki. It would make a lovely set of unconventional prayer beads.
The approximate length of this piece is 18", and there is an attached 3" extender chain.
The crimp beads, pendant bail, and spacers are sterling silver. All other metal components are hypoallergenic, high quality stainless steel.
Everything is strung on sturdy, flexible, nylon-coated 49-strand stainless steel beading wire.
