Earlier, I was praying to Brighid, and asking for her to watch over me and guide me the right way as I sense major life changes approaching. Words began to enter my mind; words that, at first, I thought I was just saying to her. Then I thought, "I need to write this down."
I believe that she answered my prayer within my prayer. What a wondrous moment, and yet so very much like Brighid, the master wordsmith that she is.
I humble myself before you, Brighid.
Please,
help me to help myself do my best;
help me to help myself succeed;
help me to not get in my own way;
help me to recognize the balance between caring for myself and overwork.Help me to find inspiration,
so that I may do your work truly to the best of my capability;
that I may serve you with love for you and for others,
that I may bring your presence to this world, so in need of your guidance and compassion.I humble myself before you,
flame that lights the world and the way,
and ask for your blessings.I believe.
Amen.
